Gr8ful Pie
When Gr8ful Pie opened up, the gluten-free folks in Orono, ME, got a whole lot luckier. A dedicated gluten-free facility, these guys make “hand pies” with all sorts of fun, savory fillings. From mac and cheese, pulled pork and buffalo chicken, to greek pizza (yes – stuffed inside) and more, your meal is guaranteed to be different, delicious, and fast. The owners are committed to using ingredients that are seasonal, organic, and local, and they adjust their menu accordingly. They also ensure that everything is GMO and pesticide free. Â In addition to the hand pies, they also offer quinoa salads, soups, wraps, ice cream in GF cones, sweet hand pies and more. Their farmhouse-styled dining room has a family-friendly section as well as a large table for meetings or homework. Need it quick? They can do that – and ordering for take out is easy. Self described as “comfort food for a new generation,” we couldn’t agree more. And if the owners are reading this, we’d be gr8ful to have one of you in every New England state.
