The Starving Artist Cafe: Gluten-Free and Funky in the Berkshires
The Starving Artist Creperie and Cafe in Lee, Massachusetts pretty much embodies the Berkshires. Great coffee, breakfast all day, paninis for lunch, all with a funky, artistic edge. The crepe menu is extensive and fun with plenty of GF and vegan options. They use buckwheat batter for the GF crepes and they’ll make them in a separate pan. They also offer a variety of sandwiches and paninis available on GF bread as well as salads, juices, soups, smoothies and more.
Ready for dessert? They’ve even got gluten-free dessert crepes available with vegan ice cream, along with GF and vegan treats from muffins to cookies, bars and more.  Check them out for Sunday brunch where there’s always music, and of course take a browse through the work of local artists. They cater, too. Starving Artist is not a dedicated GF facility, but they do understand how to prepare food safely, and they have plenty of satisfied celiac customers.
