We just love the Berkshires. They’re quiet, funky and beautiful, and there’s great gluten-free dining. Zucco’s Family Restaurant in Pittsfield is one of our favorite family-friendly spots for gluten-free Italian food, and for good reason.
The owner of Zucco’s has a family member with celiac disease, so they know how to prepare food safely. There’s a separate food preparation area with separate utensils, pots and pans. They make their own pizza dough, and gluten-free bread is served with every entree. They also make their own gluten-free soups and desserts, which rotate daily. Entrees include chicken parm, chicken marsala, veal parm, pasta dishes, seafood dishes, burgers, souvlaki, tons of pizza options, and more. Â They even provide separate eating utensils for gluten-free diners, which is much appreciated!
Zucco’s dining room is currently closed due to Covid-19, but the entire gluten-free menu is available for take out. When ordering, be clear about your dietary needs, and they’ll ensure that your meal is prepared safely. To see the full menu and specials, visit their Facebook page. And, if you don’t live in or near Pittsfield, add Zucco’s to your must-do list for when the quarantine is over. Bring the whole family and mangia! (They also have a large space to host events, and they cater.)
