Indigo Bistro

If you didn’t already know, much of Indian cuisine is inherently gluten-friendly. Indigo Bistro in Manchester makes sure that it’s safe, too. The entire menu is labeled GF/DF/Vegan, and they also have a dedicated fryer.

On the day we visited, we elected to dine at the buffet, on which everything was clearly labeled as well. We’d list everything that we ate, but we ate so many different things!  The plate in the photo contains Vegetable Thoran, Green Peas Pulao, and Masala Bonda, which are fried bites of spiced potato dipped in chickpea batter – so good and so much fun!

If you are celiac, we recommend bypassing the buffet, telling your server about your food sensitivities, and ordering off the menu. They truly understand the need for careful food preparation, and they have many celiac customers. But this place doesn’t just draw those with food sensitivities. Lunch was so busy with all sorts of diners, and for good reason. The food is excellent, the service is perfect, and the owner is a delight, and we can’t wait to go back.

Indigo Bistro hides in a strip mall next to Shop Rite in Manchester, but people don’t seem to have trouble finding it. So go search it out for yourself!

*Indigo Bistro is not a dedicated GF facility, but they go to great lengths to ensure that your meal is safe. Still, always use your own judgement when eating out.
