A Celiac Cruise? We’re so in.
Traveling with celiac disease or any food allergy can be really tricky. it takes a lot of preparation, planning, and patience, and many folks bring their own meals, just to play it safe. Â Mareen Basye, mom of a celiac son and a certified travel agent, knows first-hand what it’s like, and decided to do something about it. She partnered with Total Travel and Events to create the country’s first celiac-safe cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Majestic Mariner of the Seas. Maureen has all details are covered from ensuring separate and safe food prep areas within the cruse line’s kitchens, to separate serving lines and dining areas for celiac guests. There will even be seminars about the current state of celiac disease and a look into the future, all presented by experts in the field.
The trip leaves from Orlando’s Port Canaveral on January 17th, 2020, spends three nights in the Bahamas, and returns to Orlando on January 20th.
