Drew Brees, who was quarterback for the New Orleans Saints and Super Bowl MVP, is allergic to wheat, gluten, eggs, dairy and nuts.

Actress Jennifer Esposito has celiac disease. She’s done a tremendous amount of work for the celiac community and even had her own dedicated GF bakery in NYC for a while. It’s now closed, unfortunately.

Heidi Collins, ex-CNN news anchor, has celiac disease. It took 10 years for her doctors to finally diagnose her, and she is very active in raising public awareness about the condition.

Justin Morneau played for many teams in his baseball career, but was most well known for being the Minnesota Twins’ first baseman. He cut gluten, dairy and sugar from his diet after undergoing food allergy testing in 2012.

Chelsea Clinton never eats gluten. In fact, when she got married in 2010, the media seemed more focused on her GF wedding cake than her gown. But that was before GF wedding cakes were cool. And from what we read, her dad Bill Clinton has a wheat allergy. Genetics.

Mandy Moore, singer/songwriter/actress, has celiac disease. She was recently diagnosed in 2017, and often posts on Instagram about her adventures eating out at restaurants.

James Starks, Green Bay Packers Running Back, has a gluten sensitivity. He says that he not only feels better when he’s off gluten, but he heals better.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck, ex-host of “The View,” has celiac disease. But it wasn’t until she taped the show ‘Survivor” that she discovered it. Eating only the bare minimum and nearly no wheat, she felt better, eventually diagnosed herself, and even wrote a book about it.

Josh Turner, Country Music star, has celiac disease. He often posts on Instagram about his love for GF cookies.

Jessie and Jilly Lagasse are the daughters of celebrity chef Emeril. After they were both diagnosed with celiac disease, they wrote a cookbook called “The Gluten-Free Table.” Bam!

Zooey Deschanel, actress, discovered her celiac disease as an adult. She’s also allergic to eggs and dairy.

Emily Rossum is celiac, but she’s not afraid to declare her love of carbs. She’s just strategic about when and where she eats them!

Susie Essman, actress and comedian on “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2002. She also avoids red meat, chicken and dairy.

Cedric Benson, former running back for the Bengals and Bears, was diagnosed with celiac disease during his rookie season. Tragically, he died in a motorcycle accident in 2019.

Jessica Simpson has a severe gluten allergy. She even developed stomach ulcers before being diagnosed and removing all wheat products from her diet.

Tennis star Novak Djokovic has celiac disease. The son of parents who owned a pizza shop, he cleared gluten from his diet and has been at the top of his game ever since. According to Novak, the large intestine and the lungs are paired.

Ty Dellandrea, player on the Dallas Stars NHL team, was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2017. He was ill for two years before the diagnosis, and his game dramatically improved after.

Ryan Phillippe was advised by his doctor in 2010 to avoid gluten. He’s been gluten free ever since.
