Food Co-ops: New England’s Best Kept Gluten-Free Secret!
Co-ops are alternatives to traditional grocery stores. All shoppers are welcome, with special benefits available for those who purchase a share in the business. Benefits include grocery discounts and voting rights about operations. Similar to CSA’s, co-ops offer access to local, organic produce and meats that may not be available at traditional markets. Co-ops are also passionate supporters of small local food vendors, which is where Gluten-Free New England comes in.  We just love exploring the aisles, discovering amazing gluten-free artisans from around the region. Often the co-op itself produces gluten-free baked foods and products as well, generally made in shared kitchens. Below are New England’s current co-ops, with more locations in the works.
