Diane’s Villa Nova
Great celiac-safe food hides in the most unexpected places! Just over the border in Holland, MA is Diane’s Villa Nova, an unassuming, small, family owned and operated restaurant with one of the biggest and best GF menus around. The chef was diagnosed with celiac disease as a child and really knows his way around the kitchen. From burgers and sandwiches to pizza, pasta, chicken parm, meatloaf, shepherd’s pie and more, dining here feels downright “normal.” They even have a dedicated GF fryer for onion rings, fries, chicken tenders, fish and chips and homemade fried mozzarella. (They’re even working on GF/DF mozzarella sticks!)But don’t think for a minute that you’ll have to sacrifice flavor for safety, because Diane’s Villa Nova rocks. They make everything from scratch for each order, and they serve a huge variety of Italian specialties. But don’t take our word for it – check out their reviews on any site, and then find a time to go. These guys really care about serving great food in a safe environment.
The dining room is informal and simple, and they’re in the process of building a deck for outdoor seating. They also do catering, and if you don’t feel like going out, they’ll deliver. So do yourself a favor and find time for lunch or dinner at Diane’s. Whether it’s around the corner or an hour away, you’ll agree that it’s totally worth the trip!
*Diane’s Villa Nova is not a dedicated GF facility, but they go to great lengths to ensure that your meal is safe. However, we can never guarantee the safety of any establishment, so always use your own judgement when eating out. (Gluten free dinner Sturbridge)
