Get Baked
Get Baked is located inside an antique auction house in Windsor. Set back from the main road, owners Kevin and Emily Woodward were warned that their idea for putting a bakery into one corner of the building might not work. Undeterred, they moved forward, convinced that the community is indeed looking for baked goods made from scratch, using local ingredients. And they were right! The bakery now has a loyal and growing following, ourselves included. With a funky collection of mismatched tables and chairs, and toys for the kiddos, everyone is welcome. And, no matter the day, they have an entire display case devoted to GF and vegan items, including some that are both GFÂ and vegan. They’ve got the standard brownies, cupcakes and macaroons, but they also have strawberry bars, apricot bars, gluten-free/ vegan shortbread cookies, chocolate chip muffins, and more. Get Baked also offers a light breakfast, including GF frittatas. They have a huge made-to-order baked goods menu, easily accessed on their website. All GF and vegan items are clearly marked, and there are a LOT of them! You can even order whole cakes and loaves of bread!
Aside from the bakery, Kevin and Emily also host regular “markets” at the auction house, bringing together local artisans and crafters. We’re not sure what we love more – their commitment to providing us with wholesome and delicious GF goodies, or their commitment to community. Â We’ll take both!
