If you have the word “burger” in your name, you’re kinda obligated to serve an excellent burger. And Max Burger in West Hartford and Springfield, MA does just that, on a delicious gluten-free bun. Choose from all sorts of fun varieties, from the Bacon-Onion Smash to the Sgt. Peppercorn or the Blackjack, but the fun doesn’t stop there. They have a dedicated gluten-free fryer for both regular and sweet potato fries, crisped to perfection. We chose the veggie burger and 20 minutes later, this prize(right) was placed before us. It was so good, and we could’ve probably made two meals out of it. But we didn’t.
The menu has plenty of other gluten-free options including soups, Rhode Island style cauliflower, spinach artichoke dip, salads, sandwiches on gluten-free rolls, and entrees like roast chicken, salmon, chili and more. For dessert they have sorbet.
Our server was very knowledgable and asked all the right questions. The place was quite busy for a Tuesday afternoon, but after finishing our meal, we could see why. We will definitely be back!
