Izzi B's Allergen-Free Bakery – Norwalk, CT
Pam Nicholas’s daughter Isabella was a year old when they discovered her egg allergy. With her first birthday nearing, Pam was determined to find a cupcake that was safe for her daughter, and also delicious. Unsatisfied with a store bought mix, she began to experiment with her own recipes. As Isabella went off to preschool, Pam discovered that many other children also had allergies to various ingredients. She decided to open an allergy-free bakery, and has been busy ever since. Her facility is 100% dedicated gluten free and her baked goods contain none of the following: gluten, eggs, dairy, soy, all nuts, cholesterol, trans fats, refined sugar, preservatives, or casein. The bakery cranks out a wide range of treats from custom cakes and cupcakes to tollhouse-style chocolate chip cookies, raspberry filled doughnuts, cake pops, muffins, pies, and more. Most of the ingredients are organic or fair trade, and the entire kitchen is certified vegan, kosher, and pareve.
For now, Izzi B’s does not have a store front. Customers order online and pick up at the facility. Their products are also available at retail locations listed on the website, they deliver locally, and ship nationwide. Pam’s motto is “Everyone Deserves a Treat.” We totally agree!
