Nature's Health Store
Nature’s Health Store is everything we’d want our neighborhood health food store to be, and then some. A good-sized market with all sorts of gluten-free, vegan, and healthy groceries, a wide selection of herbs and supplements, a wonderful cafe with soups, sandwiches, and incredible baked goods, and a sweet little spot where you can sit down to enjoy them.
With a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, you can order breakfast, sandwiches, paninis, burgers, soups, wraps, or salads. Vegan and paleo options are available, with the paleo wrap(pictured below) being one of their best sellers. If you’ve never tried a sandwich rolled into a coconut wrap, you should make this your first one for sure. It’s absolutely amazing! Â They also have a raw food menu, and you can order all sorts of healthy smoothies as well. If you’ve got a hankering for a treat, their baked goods are as good as we’ve ever had. They always have lots of jumbo muffins available, from banana chocolate chip to banana walnut, to vegan spinach coconut and more. There are also gluten-free and vegan cookies and biscotti available. We lucked out by stopping in on a day when they were experimenting with a new muffin – banana chocolate with homemade peanut butter chips. We’re hooked.
Nature’s Health Store is so close to UCONN Storrs, that they accept campus dining cards. Those lucky college kids! Â So if you’re ever in the Storrs/Mansfield area, definitely stop in just to check the place out. We guarantee that you’ll leave with a snack and a smile!
