They’re also one of our favorite bagels in the region – amazing flavor and chew. We recommend calling ahead, because they run out!

It’s a few minutes away from North Conway, but Hobbs Tavern is worth the scenic drive. All of their fried foods are made in a dedicated GF fryer, including fries, sweet potato fries, chicken fingers, and even fish and chips. Need we say more? Add in burgers, salads, entrees, a kids menu and chocolate torte for dessert, and it’s time to get in the car.

Marcello Vito’s serves an entire Italian menu with plenty of gluten-free options. All of the pasta dishes are available with GF pasta, and most are inherently gluten free, except for those with meatballs. They even offer GF rolls (upcharge) and a GF dessert. Peace of Mind is a dedicated gluten-free, dairy-free & vegan wholesale bakery with a retail window, located in a business park. On any given day they’ll have donuts, muffins, cookies, brownies, pizza crusts and more. The retail window hours vary, as do their offerings, so be sure to call or check their FB or IG accounts before you go. (The top-8-free donuts are to die for.)

Table and Tonic is located inside The Local Grocer, which is a fun place to visit in itself, with an eco-gift shop and massive supplement section. They offer breakfast and lunch, only, with plenty of healthy GF and vegan options, as well as smoothies, juices, muffins, and coffees.

It’s not in North Conway, but for some it’s on the way to North Conway, so it still counts. Trolley 27 is a dedicated gluten-free food truck that makes waffle everything – breakfast waffles, hot dog waffles, waffle sandwiches – you name it. They also offer coffees, vegan smoothies, and picnic tables.

Valley Vegan offers a prepared food menu, baked goods, a small food market, crystals and more. They can put breakfast and lunch sandwiches in gluten-free wraps, and they make excellent gluten-free baked goods, which are prepared separately. They also have picnic tables in front for dining. White Mountain Cider Co offers a market, restaurant, and of course, cider. The restaurant is pretty amazing, and gets incredible reviews. There’s no GF menu, but the servers are super knowledgeable and happy to walk you through it, much of which can be made gluten free…and safely. The place is a bit more upscale and pricey than other local restaurants, but if you ask us, it’s worth it. There is a “casual” menu, but call first to see if it’s currently being offered.
Wicked Fresh Craft Burgers

Wicked Fresh is one of the top spots for a quick, fresh gluten-free meal in North Conway. They have GF rolls for all burgers and their fryer is dedicated gluten free. This means hand-cut sweet potato chips, fries, and even chicken fingers. GF/vegan whoopie pies for dessert from nearby Peace of Mind are the perfect ending.

We just love locally owned businesses, which is why we love Trails End. They’ve got three locations, one of which is open year ’round. Our favorite is the scenic vista which is a great spot for taking pictures, ice cream in hand. They don’t have GF cones, but they’ll use a clean scoop on request.
