Cape Cod now has its own 100% vegan ice cream shop (with GF waffle cones!), thanks to Elizabeth and Michael Doucette. They opened Sweet Izzy last month in Harwich, MA, and they’ve quickly developing a loyal following.
The shop is 100% vegan, free from soy and GMO’s, and “gluten conscious.” They offer many kinds of scooped ice cream, and multiple flavors of soft serve as well. They even have gluten-free/vegan brownies for brownie sundaes – whipped cream included! Add in GF waffle cones and GF/vegan sprinkles, and this place is a GF/dairy-free dream. They even make milkshakes and coffee whips, which consist of iced coffee and soft serve ice cream.
Elizabeth and Michael use coconut milk and almond milk in their hand-crafted recipes, and Sweet Izzy is not a nut-free facility. They are not a dedicated gluten-free facility either, but are super careful about cross-contamination. 
Located behind the trampoline center in Harwich, Sweet Izzy’s is a seasonal shop, open from Memorial Day – Labor Day, and weekends after. Although Elizabeth and Michael grew up in Harwich, they reside in Denver, and are considering another location in CO. We’ve got our fingers crossed that they’ll open one in CT, VT, NH, & RI too….please?!
