Baba Louie’s is the birthplace of Ugly’s Gluten-Free Pizza Crust, one of our all-time favorites, so you know your pizza is gonna be super delicious and super safe. The GF crust is made offsite in a dedicated facility, and they’re very careful in the kitchen. You can build your own pie, but offer some really unique topping options. There are also salads, soups, and appetizers.

We just love browsing the aisles, checking out packaged GF treats and other items from local brands and artisans, as well as some amazing dedicated GF goodies from just over the border in NY. Extra Special Teas is a pretty special place. Based in an historic house near the center of town, their mission is to create a space where people of all abilities can feel at home. The bakery is dedicated gluten free, and always stocked with lots of different treats to enjoy right there, or to go. In the mood for Mexican? Head to Xicohtencatl, where the massive menu is loaded with GF labels, and they know how to prepare your meal safely. Appetizers, enchiladas, carnitas, fajitas, and vegetarian options abound, and since there’s very little gluten used in the kitchen, it’s easy for them to serve safe meals.

Applegate Inn is a terrific bed & breakfast on so many levels. The building and rooms are beautiful, there’s a pool, AND the owners are gluten free. They can accommodate pretty much any food allergy – just give them notice.  Breakfast is served by candlelight, there’s afternoon wine and cheese, and evening cognac & chocolates.

Crust Pizza is really fast and really good. They offer GF and cauliflower crusts, as well as vegan cheese, and even vegan sausage, which is pretty novel. They can make your pizza separately, but be sure to remind them and watch closely – this may be a place more for those who aren’t as sensitive.
