Abby’s mission is to bring the best of gluten free products, dining, and services to New England. She’s a passionate supporter of small businesses and start-ups, ensuring that even the smallest artisans have the opportunity to reach an ever-growing gluten and allergen-free audience.
A little history….
In 2016, Abby created Gluten-Free Connecticut to help people like herself locate safe gluten-free dining, products and services. Â She was immediately embraced by the state’s ever-growing community of food allergy sufferers, and then found herself planning expos, farm dinners, outreach activities and more.
She soon began receiving expansion requests from both residents and vendors outside of Connecticut, and in 2018 she rebranded as Gluten-Free New England.
Gluten-Free New England now has a huge social media following, a super-busy website at www.wickedglutenfree.com, and puts on expos that draw thousands. National, international, and local brands participate sponsor the expos, which are considered the best on the East Coast. Abby also works closely with non-profit organizations like the National Celiac Association to help educate and promote awareness.
According to Abby, “Incredible gluten-free products can be found everywhere from the grocery store to the farmer’s market. I connect the best of them with the people who want and need these products most. And I love every second of it!”
On March 2nd at Terrain Cafe in Westport, CT, CTBites will celebrate and honor Abby and 14 other “Influential Women in Connecticut’s Culinary Industry.”
