Pierogi, Ravioli, Pasta, Oh My!

If you’ve ever been to one our expos, you know that we hand-pick each exhibitor, from national and international vendors to local bakeries, businesses, and start-ups. It’s our mission to create shows where every booth offers something interesting, useful and/or delicious. So when it comes to pasta and other unique gluten-free products, we got you. Check out these local and regional businesses making incredible pasta, pierogi and more. Many will be at our Greater Boston Expo next week, so be sure to look for them!

Make It Gluten Free: Based in Canton, CT, baker/owner Lori Cornett is a scientist by trade. She creates her own grain-free flour blends and can make just about anything with them. She’s best known for pierogi, but also makes pasta, ravioli, baguettes, pizza dough, english muffins, cookies and more.  Be sure to stop by her booth to sample and pick up some fun stuff for the holidays – it all freezes well!

Nantucket Pasta Goddess: If you’re not already taken with the name, you’ll be sold when you taste the pasta. Be sure to stop by to sample and purchase Nantucket Pasta Goddess’s dedicated GF ravioli, pasta, lasagna sheets, gnocchi and more.

Valicenti Pasta Farm: Owned and operated by David Valicenti inside a restored barn on his farm, this is the real deal. He sources as many ingredients as possible from the farm for his pastas, and everything is handmade. This is true farm-to-pasta, and the gluten-free options are made in a separate room with dedicated equipment. And with a URL like www.gimmespaghetti.com, we couldn’t be more charmed. Check them out at the expo!

DePuma’s Pasta: Based in CT, John DePuma started the company after his celiac wife complained about the lack of a good gluten-free pasta. That was 12 years ago, and they’re now found in stores and restaurants all over CT and New England.  From rigatoni to cavatelli, ravioli, lasagna sheets, orzo, mozzarella sticks and more, they’ll ship your pasta right to your door. (no rhyme intended)  DePuma’s Pasta will not be at the Greater Boston expo, but they will be at our 2020 Connecticut expo!

Gillian’s Foods: Gillian’s is based in Salem, MA and they make far too many incredible products to name here. However, they do make rice pasta, and their garlic bread is to die for. Gillian’s won’t be at the expo, but we’re hoping they’ll join us next April for our 2nd annual Greater Boston Expo next April. With plenty of garlic bread.
