If you’re looking for a dedicated gluten-free restaurant in Whitinsville, The Green Plate is IT.
Self-described “Fresh Casual Cuisine,” The Green Plate has every based covered. You can eat inside the cafe, get lunch or dinner to-go, grab prepared foods for later, stop in for a smoothie, or even have them cater your next party. And, it’s 100% dedicated gluten free.
The menu is quite varied, with “Build Your Own Bowl” at the center of it. Â From “Loaded Stir Fry” to “Jack and the Beanstock,” and “The MacDaddy,” every bowl also has a vegan option. There are also pizzas (vegan cheese available), wraps, bunless burgers (salmon, black bean, chicken, etc.), smoothies, smoothie bowls and desserts.
Then there’s the freezer. They carry both individual and family-sized entrees, including Enchilada casserole, Jambalaya, pizza, burgers, shepherd’s pie and more – with vegan options, of course. You can also purchase their house made salad dressing, sides like coleslaw, potato salad and more.
Green Plate founder/owner Danielle Derosiers was a massage therapist for 15 years before starting the restaurant. In addition to providing delicious, gluten-free food with vegan options, she wanted to offer something for everyone. She has succeeded.
