Fire and Spice is a new restaurant offering gluten-free dining in Newfields, NH. Not only is the menu eclectic and delicious, but the co-owner is gluten free, and oversees a super-careful kitchen.
Kevin and Melani Taillon opened Fire and Spice in July 2020. Kevin, who is also head chef, created the unique menu, which has Irish, Tex Mex, German, and American continental offerings. Some items include his signature Naked Hot Sauces (They’re clearly marked!).
Gluten-free offerings abound, including brunch options like pancakes (not on the menu, just ask), french toast, breakfast burritos, benedicts, an Irish breakfast bowl and more. All fried menu items are gluten free at Fire and Spice, and made in a dedicated fryer. This includes yucca fries, french fries, and house made potato chips. Lunch and dinner options include sandwiches, chicken and waffles, burgers, soups, and entrees like shrimp & grits, and crabapple braised beef short ribs. They also run specials that recently included fish and chips from the dedicated fryer.
Desserts rotate, and there’s often a GF option, but call before you go to see what’s available. All menu items can be ordered for takeout, of course, and they offer a kids menu and catering. Doesn’t get much better.
If you have other food allergies or sensitivities, you’re in good hands, because Chef Kevin is trained in managing food allergies. Just be sure to notify your server. Melani keeps the menu consistently full of fun gluten-free options, and she and Kevin both ensure that the kitchen prepares your order safely.
