If you’re looking for safe gluten-free fast food, look no further than Five Guys Burgers & Fries. Five Guys keeps it simple by making everything fresh, from burgers to fresh-cut fries. There isn’t a freezer in the place, and the fryer is dedicated gluten free. They don’t offer gluten-free buns, which is disappointing for some, but they will happily serve your burger in a lettuce wrap.
Five Guys started in Northern Virginia in 1986, when Jerry and Janie Murrell instructed their four sons to either go to college or start a business. They decided to start a business, which now has 1,500 locations worldwide, with another 1,500 in the works. (And they added another brother while they were at it!)
According to their website, nothing in the kitchen at Five Guys contains gluten, except for their burger and hotdog buns and new milkshake mix-ins. This makes it much simpler to prepare your order separately and safely, making them a real favorite among the GF and celiac communities.
Gluten-Free Options at Five Guys Burgers & Fries

*Five Guys cooks their fries in 100% peanut oil, which is tolerable for most allergic folks. However, they do offer complimentary peanuts for on-site consumption.
*Five Guys Burgers and Fries are not dedicated gluten-free facilities. Always use your own judgement when eating out.
