Make Gluten-Free Soft Pretzels Using Pizza Dough Mix!

Thank you Massachusetts resident Debra Masucci for showing us how to make gluten-free soft pretzels from Trader Joe’s pizza dough.  You can use any gluten-free pizza dough or mix, such as Bob’s Red Mill or King Arthur Baking.

Ingredients
  • 1 package of gluten-free pizza dough mix
  • 5 cups water for boiling
  • 1/3 cup baking soda

Directions
  • Make pizza dough as directed.
  • Bring water and baking soda to a boil in large pot.
  • Slice, roll & shape dough into pretzels. Need twisting help?

  • Put pretzels into the water bath for about 30 seconds each, removing with a slotted spoon.
  • Place each bathed pretzel onto a greased baking sheet and sprinkle with kosher salt.
  • Bake at 375 degrees until lightly browned, and cool on wire racks, about 10 minutes. It’s so easy to make gluten-free soft pretzels! Enjoy!
