At some point, many of you will be searching for awesome GF sandwiches on Cape Cod. What’s a beach vacation with out a picnic, anyway?  There are a few places on the Cape that we love for sandwiches, and The Grilled Cheese Gallery is one of them. We even added them to our Cape Cod Dining Guide!Â
Based in Hyannis, The Grilled Cheese Gallery actually has three locations, with the other two based in Florida. The menu is simple, but fun. There’s a long list of unique grilled cheese sandwiches, all of which can be prepared using gluten-free bread on a separate griddle. They even offer a vegan cheese option. From the Loaded Steak Melt to fresh lobster with chipotle aioli, along with vegetarian and vegan options, nearly all of the sandwiches are inherently gluten free. There’s also a dedicated fryer for fries, which is awesome, because grilled cheese and fries go together perfectly.
There are also plenty of soups for slurping and dipping, but stay away from the poutine, as the poutine sauces do contain gluten. If you’re going grain free, there are really nice salad choices, and for your gluten-eating friends, they offer a long list of ‘mac and cheese’ grilled cheese sandwiches, which are exactly what they sound like.
The Grilled Cheese Gallery has limited seating indoors, but plenty of outdoor tables, and an order/pick-up window. They’re not a dedicated gluten-free facility, but are super careful in the kitchen.
So….if you’re on the Cape now or headed there soon, be sure to stop by The Grilled Cheese Gallery, and tell ’em we sent you!
The Grilled Cheese Gallery is not a dedicated gluten-free facility. Always use your own judgement when eating out.
