Lillian’s Cafe

Lillian’s Cafe in Niantic has a simple mission – to serve delectable, fresh food. And, from the looks of it, they might need to change that to “serve delectable gluten free food” because they sure do have some great options!  A lot of the menu varies daily, so do call first or check their website for today’s options. On the June day that we looked, they had loads of clearly labeled gluten free items, including chickpea-dusted fried clams, chilled kale and avocado soup, tuscan kale latkes, all sorts of seafood and steak entrees, and a list of gluten free desserts that makes us proud – flourless chocolate macadamia nut torte, gluten free strawberry shortcake, gluten free apple crisp and more – oh my!
